TERMS & LIMITATION
- The conclusion of this report reflects our findings through gemological testing at the time of examination.
- This report issued are not guaranteed ,valuation or appraisals, and CGTL makes no representation or warranty regarding reports issued of the article described in them, each reports contains a description of the article tested or graded based upon tests and techniques used by CGTL at the time of examination.
- The reports became invalid if any changes are made to the stone or report.
- The client agrees to responsible for, and to hold CGTL and its employees and agents harmless from any injuries ,loss, damage or destruction of article entrusted for examination while in the possession of CGTL,resulting from any cause whatsoever not caused by the proven negligence of CGTL and its employees.
- CGTL and its employees shall not liable for any damage and loss or expense for any error in on omission from any report or for its insurance or use even if advised of the possibility of such damages .CGTL reserve the right to refuse the insurance of a gemstone report and whatsoever at any time.
- The physical appearance of the gemstone may be different from the photographic image of stone in this report.
- Any mounted gemstone: testing required as mounting permits, weight and measurement of the gemstone as per the client claims or approximate, the details of the metal is mentioned as per the hallmark stamped on it.
- Any comments on treatment and origin of the gemstone are an opinion of CGTL given when conclusion can be drawn from approved gemological testing and by referring to available literature.
- Any corundum where no evidence of heat treatment is detected ,it will be noted in a comment section with “no indication of heating or(NTE)”
- Any corundum where evidence of heat treatment is detected ,it will be noted in a comment section with “ indication of heating or(TE)”
- Any corundum that shows indications of having undergone heat treatment and degree of healing along(previous) fracture which also contain a residue( s) from the heating process ,shall be noted in the comment section as follows: “indication of heating with minor(TE1/TE2)/moderate(TE3/TE4)significant(TE5) residue in healed fissures”
- Any corundum that shows indications of having undergone heat treatment and the presence of vitreous residue in cavity (s) ,shall be noted in the comment section as follows: “indication of heating with minor(CE1)/moderate(CE2)significant[CE3] residue in cavities.
- Any corundum that shows indications of having undergone heat treatment accompanied by a lattice diffusion of chemical element{s} from an external source will be described as: indications of heating, shallow color modified by lattice diffusion of chemical elements from external source.
- Detection of lattice diffusion by light elements such as beryllium require further testing with sophisticated equipment such as{ LIBS & LA ICP MS } which are not currently utilized in CGTL.
- Any corundum that shows indications of having undergone clarity enchantment by glass filler in the fissure shall be noted in the comment section as follows: “indication of heating with minor (f1)/moderate (f2) significant (f3) clarity enhancement by a glass filler in the fissure. Heavily fractured corundum infused with glass will be as: manufactured product/composite ruby or (variety of corundum.
- Gemstones are routinely heat treated or irradiated, many of these treatments cannot be detected, and this usually applies to Beryl, Garnet, Quartz, spodumene, Topaz, Tourmaline, Zircon, zoisite and other gemstones.
